Conte has revealed that he told the players to start on the front foot and take
the game to United.
Speaking after the game, Conte said: “I asked my players to start very strong
and show quickly our desire to win this game, not only our fans but above all
our opponent. It happened because we scored after 30 seconds.
“The
most important thing was that we continued to play, and to try to score the
second goal. It happened and I’m very happy.
“Now we must continue. Manchester United is the past for me. We must be
concentrated on Wednesday. It’s important to recover the energy and to prepare
for another difficult game.”
