On United's
performance: 'It
started bad - after a few seconds we are losing 1-0. And then you are close to
the 1-1 and in another defensive mistake they score the 2-0. Then you are close
to the 2-1 and they score 2-0 in a counter attack. Then you are close to the
3-1 and then they score the 4-0 in a counter attack. If we play for maybe 10
more minutes we are close to the 4-1 but they could score the 5-0 in a counter
attack.
'If you come with a strategy you cannot concede the way we
did in the first minute and after that it changed completely the game. It goes
out of the window but we also had an offensive approach - we wanted to create
chances and to score goals. We showed that immediately after the 1-0 when we
immediately had chances and positions and saves by Courtois.
'I think in the end Courtois had more saves than De Gea.
Every time they go there they score a goal and the second and third goals are
counter attack goals. I told the players we should take the risk in the second
half knowing they are very good on the counter attack. But if we scored a goal
like we nearly did then the game would have been completely different.
'It is one of those days where you give the advantage to
your opponent by doing nothing. They were winning 2-0 after 20 or 25 minutes.
After that they played well, were defensively compact and defended well. They
used what they have best which is counter attack to score the third and the
fourth goal.'
Individual errors:
'In the first minute you analyse the goal and you can see what happened. We
made incredible defensive mistakes. Individual defensive mistakes and you pay
for that. Then if you equalise after the 1-0 or if you score the 2-1 after the
2-0 you have a big chance because in terms of football the team was quite
comfortable.
'We knew we were going to have space with our full-backs
because of the way they play. We did that in the second half and we played with
Marcus Rashford through the middle to create more mobility from Zlatan's
position. We played with just two midfield players and we had no problems at
all and we had control of the game. But the control is a bit dangerous because
Chelsea have great players on the counter attack who are just waiting for
that.'
Words with Conte: 'It was with
Antonio, not with you. Of course not... I was speaking with Antonio, not with
you. I am sorry.'
Luiz's tackle on
Fellaini: 'I
don't want to speak about it. If I speak about the referee people are going to
say you lost 4-0 so I prefer not to speak.'
How much of a
setback? 'In terms of points it is zero points. When you lose 1-0 or
4-0 you lose three points, you don't lose four, five or six points. You lose
three points. We are six points from the top of the league and we are I think
maybe three or four from the top four. We now need to win matches.
'We had a week with two matches away to two candidates -
Liverpool and Chelsea - and now other teams from the top five have to play
between themselves. We need to win our matches which are not easy but we play
Burnley, we play Swansea, we play West Ham and we need to win matches to close
the gap. After these last three matches in the league we have two draws and one
defeat. We made two points out of nine. Now what we need is points.'

Bridge: 'Fine.
I was not expecting anything different. The people inside the tunnel who are
friends were friends, the ones that were not special friends were not special
friends. The crowd behaved in a normal way so there was nothing wrong.'
