Barcelona have confirmed that they had an agreement with Pogba before he joined Man. Utd

POGBA

Barcelona claim to have turned down the chance to sign Paul Pogba before his world-record move to Manchester United.

Barca director of sporting institutional relations, Albert Soler, made the revelation while speaking at press conference to discuss the La Liga champions’ transfer dealings.

Pogba was one of the players discussed at the said conference, and Soler revealed Barca had first refusal on the France international last year while he was at Juventus.

“Last year we made an agreement with Juventus: if they would have wanted to sell Pogba, we would have had a priority on him," said Soler.

"That was the commitment that we had but that didn't happen. Juventus did not want to sell the player last year and so we had to go out and look for somebody else.”
