EDEN HAZARD
Eden Hazard has praised the impact of Antonio Conte
during the summer and the start of the season as well as his teammates and the
new arrivals at the Bridge.
Speaking to Chelsea TV, Hazard said:
“He’s a top manager, he’s a top man”
“He has the passion to do his job. He gives everything on
the bench and we try to give everything on the pitch.
“He’s a top guy, he tries to speak a lot with the players,
to talk a lot, and we are pleased to work with him.
“During games I try to stay focused, but sometimes when I
watch the game the day after [on TV] I see him, he’s a little bit crazy
sometimes on the bench!”
Chelsea suffered a setback against Liverpool on Friday night,
thereby ending their unbeaten start to the season and Hazard expressed his
disappointment, and also acknowledged Diego Costa brilliance in front of
goal this season, as the Spaniard scored again during the Friday night tie
taking his tally to 5 goals in as many games.
“Diego is a top player, he is on the pitch to score goals,
he has the desire to score a goal every game, and it’s always good to play with
him. He’s sharp.
“Everybody had a bad season last season and we don’t want to
do the same. It was not good for anybody, for the fans or for the club. We know
we didn’t play well and we have to do better this season.”
Also speaking on teammates David Luiz and Michy Batshuayi,
the Belgian forward added further;
“I think I don’t need to say something about David, everyone
knows how he is. Everybody is happy to see him back. On the pitch he is a
warrior. He brings that mentality. He wants to win everything. This is what we
need.
“He’s a top man,” Hazard said of Batshuayi, who he starred
alongside at Euro 2016.
“He is learning a lot. He is trying to speak English. I am
helping him, I don’t know if I am a good teacher but I try. He gives everything
on the pitch and in training. In him and Diego we have two very good strikers.
“Sometimes we play with one, sometimes with two. It’s
difficult for him to sometimes be on the bench but he is still young, he has a
lot to do with Chelsea, and I hope he will score a lot of goals.”
