LUIZ
The Chelsea fans can’t wait to see the second coming of
David Luiz in a Chelsea shirt.
The critics have
been skeptical of this signing ever since the Brazilian joined the Bridge in a
crazy deadline day deal. Now, with John Terry injured, Luiz has a chance to
make an impact under Antonio Conte and shut the mouth of those Pundits who have
been constantly undermining his ability as a defender.
Working under an
Italian coach always seems to have done wonders for the Defenders over the
years. It’s a known fact that the Italian managers are technically top notch
and tactically superb.
Now, David Luiz, the
excellent player that he is; is still known to have these stupid moments time
and time again where he loses the concentration at crucial moments of the game.
However, with Antonio Conte at the helms, we can expect the 29-year-old to take
that leap to the next level and become “one of the best in the world”.
Even David Luiz
thinks the same:
“I have tried to improve and mature day by day. When you try
new things of course you improve, that’s why I tried a new league,” he said.
“But I want to
continue to improve here. I never want to think that I know everything. I want
to learn every day. I feel at home, I feel like I never left. I have a great
relationship with everyone.
“The coach (Conte)
loves football, that’s why he’s a passionate guy on the bench, celebrating and
supporting the team,” he added.
“He’s a specialist
in tactics and training in a tactical way, I’m excited to learn under him.
“Every single coach has been important in my professional
life. I want to learn, especially with him and his Italian style in a tactical
way, this can make the difference.”
Chelsea have shown
some signs of vulnerability at the back ever since the start of the season and
it’s a perfect time for Luiz to make a mark and establish himself as the first
name on the team sheet. But, would he be able to do that? That is a question on
everyone’s mind right now. Only time will tell.
