Brazil and Barcelona forward Neymar in a bloody mess

NEYMAR

The video above shows the challenge on Neymar that left the Brazil and Barcelona forward bleeding heavily from the face.

The injury occurred in the 65th minute with Brazil already 4-0 up against 2018 World Cup qualifying opponents Bolivia (Neymar kicked off the scoring in the 11th minute).

With the ball on the left hand side, Brazil's number 10 attempts to trick his way past Bolivia's Yasmani Duk.

But Bolivia's number 18 catches the Brazilian out, tackling him in the process. Leading the challenge with his arm, Duk catches Neymar to the right of his eye and opens up a cut.

The Barcelona forward immediately falls to the ground clutching his face and blood can be seen pouring out of the wound.

Despite being treated, Neymar was substituted in the 68th minute.

Brazil went on to win the game 5-0 thanks to a goal from Liverpool star Roberto Firmino .
