PEDRO
CHELSEA star Pedro has hailed
Antonio Conte for getting the best out of his squad.
Chelsea sit fourth in the Premier League table, just one
point off leaders Manchester City, after winning six of their opening nine games
under Conte.
Pedro opened the scoring in Sunday's 4-0 victory against Jose
Mourinho's Manchester United - the high point of Antonio Conte's reign so
far.
"Training has been very good with him," Pedro told Chelsea's official website.
"He has a good idea about football, he is a strong
character and he’s really a very good guy and he is good for the team."
Starsport exclusively revealed last month that Conte was under pressure following the 2-1 defeat at home
to Liverpool.
A 3-0 loss at Arsenal followed,
prompting Conte to switch to a 3-4-3 formation.
And that change has led to an upturn in form with Chelsea
winning their last three on the spin
"The new system is different but these three games have
shown it’s a good solution for us," Pedro said.
"It’s worked very well and it’s good for us to have
another option.
"It suits the players we have and it’s been perfect for
our team."
Pedro failed to shine in his debut season at Stamford Bridge
following his trophy-laden spell at Barcelona but he is enjoying a more
fruitful time under Conte.
"Personally I have high confidence at the moment,"
he revealed.
"I am feeling good physically and mentally and the
mentality at the club is very strong and competitive."
