HAZARD
THIERRY HENRY claims Eden Hazard is developing into a more
complete forward in a warning to Chelsea’s Premier
League warning.
The
Belgian, 25, struggled to replicate the form that saw him crowned PFA Player of
the Year last season as the Blues flopped in their title defence.
But after cutting in from the right to drill home
left-footed in the 2-0 win over Southampton, Henry claimed
Hazard was thriving under Antonio Conte.
Speaking on Monday Night Football, he said: “He can have a
massive impact on the right-hand side which he never used to do.
“Last
season he would have crossed that ball back.
“But
now he thinks ‘goal’ and comes back on his left foot and, boom, goal.
“He runs
in behind now.”
After a slow start under former Italy chief Conte, Chelsea
have won four on the bounce to move within a point of Manchester City, Arsenal
and Liverpool at the top of the table.
Hazard was
on target three times in that run to take his tally to six this season.
