PEDRO
Chelsea's tricky forward Pedro has revealed a return to
former club Barcelona in the summer transfer window was on the cards.
The Spaniard opened the scoring
recently when Chelsea ran riot over Premier League rivals Manchester United at
Stamford Bridge, with a clever passage of play which caught the sleeping Red
Devils off guard.
But the World Cup winner wouldn't
have featuring at all, had his proposed summer move to Barca materialised.

Pedro has revealed he spoke with the
president of the Spanish giants, Josep Maria Bartomeu, about linking up with
his former employers.
'I talked with Bartomeu,' Pedro told
Catalan radio station RAC-1.
'It is difficult to return somewhere, but you always have
memories of a spell with a club.'
After making the move to Stamford
Bridge Pedro soon found his game time limited under the then first team manager
Jose Mourinho.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is giving Pedro game time and it now looks to be
paying off
Eden Hazard, Oscar and Willian were
all ahead of the Spaniard during Mourinho's reign, with the Portuguese manager
often opting to bring on youngster Kenedy before three times Champions League
winner Pedro.
Despite this Pedro maintains the
relationship between himself and former boss Mourinho always remained
professional, and his opinion of the former Real Madrid manager changed
positively when he arrived at the club.
'My opinion of Mourinho changed when
he became my coach,' said Pedro.
'He was always clear and correct to
me.'
Now under new manager Antonio Conte
Pedro is enjoying a revitalised period in his Chelsea career and is getting
both game time and goals.
The forward won an endless list of
honours in Spain, including three Champions Leagues
This was evidenced when the former
Barca man escaped the watch of the United defence last weekend, to round
goalkeeper David de Gea and put Chelsea up within the opening minute.
'I am happy with the playing time I
am getting now,' Pedro said.
'It is always good to play your part
and help the team with goals whenever possible. I am feeling well physically.'
