HARRY REDKNAPP
The former Tottenham manager writes off Manchester United's
title hopes.
Harry Redknapp says Manchester
United have no chance of winning the Premier
League title after they failed to beat Burnley at home.
Speaking on BT Sport, which you can see in the above video, the former
Tottenham boss is scathing in his assessment of the 20-time champions.
Redknapp feels that the title is
way beyond the Red Devils' reach, regardless of how many points between them
and current league leaders Manchester City.
Jose Mourinho was frustrated
watching his team draw 0-0 in their Premier League clash with Burnley at Old
Trafford on Saturday.
United set a Premier
League record for the most shots on goal since Opta records began in 2003/04,
but were still unable to break the deadlock.
The club now sit eighth in the
Premier League table, eight points from the top spot, and have it all to do if
they want to stay a part of the title race.
But Redknapp believes that even
if they were just three points from where they want to be they would still have
no chance of winning the title.
In the clip he says: "They
can't win it, they're not good enough.
"I look at that Man United
team today, I'd have loved to have gone there a few years ago with a team and
played against that team.
"You used to walk in the
dressing room, you'd look at the team and they would scare you to death.
"Playing against that team
today is way short of a team capable of winning the Premier League in my
opinion."
